"For 5 generations our family has loved, created and evolved the wine of our beloved Château Cissac"
By Vialard Family
Located in the village of Cissac between St Estephe and Pauillac, Louis Vialard took over Château Cissac in 1940, dedicating himself to the property and its vineyards. Louis has now left the hard work to his talented daughter Danielle, inheriting the wine making traits of her ancestors, keeping the wine traditional but with a more modern approach and Marie, his granddaughter is closely following in her Aunts footsteps.
Chateau Cissac, one of the classic Cru Bourgeois becomes more and more attention with its new and innovative distribution & marketing orientation which inspires the well Bordeaux business in former times.
- 17/20 points for the vintage 2006, Réne Gabriel Weinwisser – instead of 16/20 for the last vintages & 2006 is the best vintage since our partnership with this Château.
- Direct neighborhood to Château Mouton Rothschild.
- Meanwhile excellent distribution in Europe and having rebuilt the image of Château Cissac.

We had the pleasure to host a dinner with Eric Hosteins in Vienna who brought 10 vintages of his formidable Château Cissac with him.
Our guests of Wein & Co. (our partner for Cissac in Austria) were abundantly impressed by the appearance of Cissac’s Bordeaux 1997 to 2007, representing two different styles of winemaking (Danielle & her niece Marie Vialard, following their ancestor Louis Vialard). Many thanks to Eric for letting us being part of this great experience!
